Stayed here for a 1 night stay (Sat - Sun). The staff were fantastic from the moment I booked - Letizia was very accommodating to my booking needs and provided what I asked for. Once we arrived at the hotel the 5 star service continued from Sally who was great throughout and answered all questions, assisted with check in and check out. The room we had (25) was great, it had a wrap around balcony and if the weather was abit warmer it certainly would have been utilised more. The room fridge was filled with complimentary drinks which was a nice unexpected addition. Bathroom is really good, shower pressure is strong. The coffee pod machine didn't work but it's not a huge issue to me as there were other coffee bags and tea provided. In the evening we went for a couple of drinks at the bar and the server, didn't catch her name, was very friendly and helpful. The staff that we encountered throughout were great. The next morning we had breakfast which was the choice of full English or different types of breakfast mains. The breakfast was really good quality and well cooked. There is an option of breakfast in bed however the hotel/breakfast was busy so this wasn't applicable for my stay but again not a problem as the staff who greeted and served breakfast were delightful again. Would certainly recommend the hotel and certainly going to look at booking again in the summer.

Highly Recommend! I attended the hotel for an anniversary get-away with my husband and booked through secret escapes whereby we had breakfast included as well as a glass of prosecco on arrival and tapas with 4 dishes each. I contacted the hotel after booking to inform them that due to work, my husband would have to be leaving approx 0530 the morning so would miss breakfast. They very kindly advised that they would do him a breakfast box/bag to take away with sandwich, drink etc. The day of arrival, check in was 3pm however I had a 3 hour drive and arrived around an hour early so called ahead and they said the room was ready so could check in early which was great. Friendly staff on arrival at reception and staff showed me to the room whilst I waited for husband to arrive later after work. Staff were all attentive, happy and couldn't be more helpful! I was advised to just let them know once my husband arrived and we would then have the welcome prosecco brought to our room. The room: absolutely gorgeous room with balcony and outdoor seating. It would have been gorgeous sat out on a sunny spring / summer evening. The most comfy bed you could stay in all day and a modern bathroom which was lovely. All very clean and complimentary drinks in the fridge. We also had a lovely anniversary card left on the bed by the hotel which made it extra special. We went for a stroll around the grounds to kill some time before our evening tapas and wandered down towards the events building and pub building where I believe serves more dinner food such as burgers etc but we didn't go in. We came back to the hotel and went to the lounge for some cocktails/ drinks before our tapas. The waitress was lovely and attentive, explained she was still trying to learn some of the cocktails however manager was on hand and she'd give them a go should we want anything. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Biscoff Martini.. it was delicious. The manager also came over to confirm breakfast collection for my husband in the morning and made sure he was happy with what they could offer. We had a couple of drinks then the waitress asked if we wanted to choose our tapas items to get ordered into the kitchen and we could continue drinks until just before tapas was ready and then be taken to our table. Everything felt nice and chilled, and just enjoying the atmosphere. The hotel was fairly quiet, I think only 2 or 3 other tables at dinner but could not fault anything. Delicious food and drinks and I still felt a little full with the 4 tapas dishes.. though we did then decide to order creme brulee and a cheese board to share which was an additional cost as well as the drinks. Again very attentive and friendly staff for breakfast service. I was shown to my table and ordered drink as well as breakfast which was included in the stay. There was an option for alternative breakfasts (other than traditional/veggie etc) such as eggs benedict which was an extra £3 charge. There was continental to help yourself with mini pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal and juices. The only thing I'd say breakfast wise was that the waitresses were a little over attentive and if felt like every 5 minutes or so they were checking if I needed anything else. This isn't a huge issue for me but I did find they'd check on me, then go off for service or to wipe tables, and the other waitress then came over to check if I wanted anything else, then after 5-10 minutes the first waitress would come back etc. Location was good. I can't really comment on what there was to do around as we only had the one night and not local to the area. It was about 15-20 mins off the M40 and that was a tesco and aldi about 10 minutes away from the hotel. There are currently roadworks being done directly outside the hotel grounds. However, this didn't cause any issues or wasn't even noticeable When inside or really walking around the grounds. Myself and husband both said we would definitely be happy to return one day and the stay was lovely. 5* service, friendliness, helpful, cleanliness etc was all wonderful.

My wife booked this hotel as a birthday surprise for me and all we can say is Wow. This place is absolutely spectacular and the service we had was exceptional. We had a deluxe room which was so well done. The bed was easily the biggest we've ever slept in and really comfortable. When we also got shown our room there were balloons and a bottle of wine and a hand written card from the hotel which was an excellent touch. Breakfast was also really nice and the FOH was amazing. The only downside to this place is that it didn't have a pool or spa but with the huge jacuzzi bath in the room it sort of made up for it. We were told that they are investing in it with more rooms but to myself it really would be worth investing in a spa as you would never be able to book a room there as it would always be full. All in all it was an amazing stay and we will definitely be going back.

A beautiful hotel with lively friendly staff and great food available at a reasonable price for the setting. The decor is very romanesque in style with no expense spared. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed with fabulous bathrooms too.

We stayed one night at the Dallas Burston Polo Club Hotel and there’s a lot to admire. The grounds are stunning, and the deluxe room was very well presented. The king-size bed and blackout blinds made for an excellent night’s sleep, and the room was equipped with everything you’d expect. The minibar was a nice touch, stocked with wine and bottled water. Unfortunately, the in-room coffee pod machine didn’t work, which was a bit disappointing. The lobby and bar area are decorated to a very high standard – modern, upmarket, and genuinely impressive. Where the hotel really falls short is the food. There is barely any room service available, which made me question whether there was even a proper kitchen on site. My dinner for the evening ended up being half a tube of Pringles. Breakfast was included, so we hoped for better in the morning. The continental options were fine, and the full English was ordered at the table. After a long wait, the plate arrived with a single portion of everything – including one lonely mushroom. Despite how long it took, most of it was cold: a dry, cold sausage, a soggy, cold hash brown, and a hard poached egg. Only the beans in the ramekin were hot, which made me suspect the food was prepared elsewhere, possibly at the nearby pub, and brought over. Service itself was polite and friendly throughout, though nobody checked whether our breakfast was okay. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and well-designed – but the food quality and lack of proper catering options really let the experience down. With improvements to the kitchen side, this could easily be a fantastic stay.

First time at this hotel and I’m sold. The girl at reception desk (unfortunately didn’t catch the name) was fantastic and so helpful on the Saturday evening, bar staff great and Sally at breakfast was just fantastic. As someone who travels regularly, the staff make really make the stay. The rooms were stunning and the little touches from the glass milk bottles to the decaf coffee bags are appreciated. Will be returning hopefully very soon. Jay

We stayed 3 nights at the Dallas Burston Polo Club Hotel and can honestly say the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. The Romanesque decor is incredible and really gives the bar & restaurant some real character and charm. The staff are so friendly, attentive and helpful. Special thanks must go to Sally on reception and Vlada in the restaurant who went out of their way to make our stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Unfortunately, we did not take any photos of the food but the Tapas was so delicious, fresh and hot with a huge range of options that even on the third night the food was just as enjoyable as the first night! Breakfast was equally as good and arrived fresh and hot and was clearly individually prepared. The standard of all the ingredients is of the highest quality and where possible locally sourced. Overall, we were made to feel extremely welcome and the professionalism of all the staff was very high. Last but not least, our Premium room with balcony on the first floor was very comfortable and spacious with an absolutely magnificent bathroom. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend it to others. Andrew & Bevali

What a wonderful hotel, the staff are truly amazing, so kind, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The General Manager Sabin was charming, welcoming and a credit to the hotel, along with the manager of the restaurant. A special thank you to Lynn who served us breakfast, she was so caring when my husband was a little unwell, her kindness was so appreciated. The bedrooms are well appointed and the outside seating area was great for us. There is a good supply of tea and coffee in the room, which is always welcome, along with a super large comfortable bed. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Would definitely visit again.
